Stem cells have the ability to make any cell of the body and therefore they are colloquially called ‘the magical cells’. To understand the sorcery of these cells better, The Epigenetics and Stem Cell Laboratory led by Dr Shravanti Rampalli, organised a webinar series named ‘Stem cells: Basics to Application’. Some excellent wizards of stem cell biology from across the world got onboard with us to discuss their latest discoveries and future applications. It’s a wholesome feeling to listen and talk one on one with people you look up to. It’s an opportunity to learn, grow and discover what is deep inside and within us

Ayurgenomics training program

AYUSH Centre of Excellence, at IGIB conducted a 3-day CME -training program titled, “ Ayurgenomics, Prakriti Methods and Integrative medicine for wellness”. 60 Ayurveda faculty and MD scholars from all over India attended the program organised in batches during April-June 2022. Our research scholars and project staff led by Dr. Bhavana Prasher provided hands-on training of lab protocols in Ayurgenomics and clinical phenotyping  for Prakriti assessment to the participants. CoE mandates to create awareness on Ayurgenomics in the Ayurveda fraternity.

Leh Symposium 2022

  • Leh Symposium 2022 team

The 6th International Leh Symposium based on the theme “Lungs under normobaric and hypobaric hypoxia” was held on May 23 – 27, 2022 at Leh, India. The symposium saw a congregation of researchers working in the fields of pulmonary medicine, physiologists, pulmonologists, cardiologists and the medical scientists involved in high-altitude genomics. Stimulating talks, lively panel discussions, close scientific interactions during lunch along with serene beauty of the land epitomized the scientific aesthetics.
