• Art Work Series

CSIR- IGIB is starting an art work series from 28th Februaruy to mark global and national scientific awareness days that are being created by Sanovar Dayal, one of the PhD student at the institute. The first one in the series for National Science Day.

  • Research in 1 minute competition

This year the institute organized a ‘Research in 1 minute’ competition on National Science Day, 28th February and got glimpses of all the research that is happening at the institute. With beautiful short description of their research work by all the energetic participants, event was a huge success and enjoyed by all.

  • Successful completion of 10,000 Genome Project

The 10,000 Genome Project led by CSIR-IGIB and 19 other institutes is now completed! This is a key milestone towards finding Indian population specific genetic variants & working towards more effective healthcare. IGIB was one of the four sequencing centres and it completed sequencing of ~3000.

  • Scientific lecture by Prof. Morten Meldal

The esteemed Nobel Laureate Prof. Morten Meldal and his wife Phaedria St Hilaire, graced us with their presence at the institute on 2nd February. His enthusiasm for explaining his research and connecting with students was very encouraging and heartwarming.
