Science Fest (6-7th April 2022)
After a long hiatus of 2 years, we celebrated science at the institute in this two day long Science Fest. It began by welcoming of our new Director Prof. Venugopal Achanta, who is the Director of CSIR- NPL and has taken the additional charge as Director of IGIB, followed by the poster session. The spine area dazzled with hues of science by the posters that the students from both the campuses had put up to explain their research. The day ended with a musical evening.
On the second day, which was the Foundation Day of IGIB, Dr. Shekhar Mande, Director General of CSIR delivered the A.P. Joshi Memorial Lecture. Dr. Mande spoke about the journey of CSIR, its contributions since inception, and the path ahead. We also bid adieu to our ex Director, Dr. Anurag Agrawal, who has joined Ashoka University as Dean, Biosciences and Health Research. The science fest concluded with the distribution of prizes to the winners of the poster session and the sports event.

Open Days (19th, 22nd April 2022)
We hosted Zoology students from Hansraj College on 19th April 2022 at our Mall Road campus and Biochemistry students from Daulat Ram and Shaheed Rajguru College for Applied Sciences for Women on 22nd April at Mathura Road campus. We had organized a tour of the institute along with research talks by Vivek T. Natrajan (at Mall Road) and Sonam Dhamija (at Mathura Road) to initiate a dialogue between students and scientists.
