12th January 2023 – Autophagy and Lysosome Mini-Symposium

Lipi Thukral’s lab organized a mini-symposium covering the recent research in the field of autophagy that had an exciting lineup of speakers from the University of Cambridge, CSIR-IMTECH, Translational Health Science and Technology Institute, and Regional Center for Biotechnology.

27th – 28th January 2023 – Prof. Partha Majumder’s Visit

Prof Partha M Majumder, Distinguished Professor, National Institute of Biomedical Genomics visited CSIR-IGIB, interacting with various research groups at the institute. Two popular talks were delivered by him during his visit. 

A narrative and contextualization of the work of Svante Paabo, Nobel Laureate at Mathura Road campus, which also witnessed visitors from Bhaskaracharya College, University of Delhi, and ‘Oral Cancer Genomic Signature of Tumour Initiation and Progression’ was organized at Mall Road campus.

28th January 2023 – Animal Welfare Progress in India 

The 2nd International Society for Applied Ethology Workshop saw participation from around 100 scientists and students from around the country. The workshop was organized by Dr. VP Singh’s group and had speakers from research institutes, universities, animal husbandry, and various NGOs. 

31st January 2023 – Sci-comm Workshop at Deshbandhu College, University of Delhi

In collaboration with CWC, Ashoka University a science communication workshop was organized for science undergraduates. The importance of communicating science in everyday life and choosing sci comm as a career option were some of the topics that were covered in the workshop.
