Ajay Pratap Singh

As an engineer specializing in AI for bio-medical image analysis, I focus on developing AI/ML methods for classifying and quantifying interstitial lung diseases through HRCT images. My passion for machines extends from fixing equipment to troubleshooting computer hardware and software. I’m particularly excited about advancements in embedded systems, systems on chips (SoCs), and AI. Cricket brings me joy, with its thrill and camaraderie, while table tennis keeps me active. Additionally, I find immense joy in trekking, enjoying nature and the rejuvenating mountain air.

Dr. Krishnendu Chakraborty

I earned my Master’s in biotechnology and pursued a Ph.D. in immunology, focusing on signaling pathways in intestinal epithelial cells for gut homeostasis and tolerance. During my post-doctoral training, I explored murine models of asthma and acute lung injury (ALI). I now investigate the pathophysiology of different stages of ALI. In my leisure time, I enjoy mountain travel, reading, and listening to music.

Dr. Shravanti Rampalli Deshpande

I am a scientist and a mom, driven by a passion for comprehending processes of cell fate decisions. I identify myself as an amateur artist and indulge in reading during my spare time.

Dr. Sherry Bhalla

I am a passionate computational biologist, immersing myself in the intricacies of cancer through networks and machine learning. My typical day involves analyzing data points using coding skills and bioinformatics approaches. I aspire to advance precision medicine by deciphering diverse biological data, identifying personalized genetic markers, and optimizing treatment strategies. Beyond the lab, I find joy in the freedom of dance and the creative process of cooking.

Dr. Shruthy Suresh

I am a cancer biologist broadly interested in understanding how cancers metastasize and how this can be prevented to improve therapeutic outcomes. I utilize approaches such as zebrafish modeling and CRISPR screening to explore how cancers scavenge metabolites to fuel metastatic progression. Besides science, I love hiking upto waterfalls, pursuing a nascent passion in Carnatic music and enjoying every minute with my adorable little baby girl.
