The Hippocampus

Sea horses of current inside our brain,
letting you ride across the memory lane,
be it in joy or strain.

Anytime it may crash or collide,
with rampaging waves or due to its age,
splashing sprinkles of life.

The MAMs (Mitochondria-Associated Membranes)

ER and mitochondria - each a distinct entity
Yet they form MAMs, a product of their unity
Essential and important, the physiological significance
Aiding the cell in maintaining calcium homeostasis and balance
Hustling through to regulate the autophagy system
Along with tuning up the lipid metabolism
